For a writer variety is the spice of life. Or maybe that’s just this particular writer. Either way, it’s a good thing since my freelance work, along with a few other things, are definitely keeping my life nice and varied.
In addition to my current freelance gig with Missouri.com, I was recently offered a chance to freelance for another publication in Southwest Missouri. I’m in the process of writing two articles to submit later this week. Fingers crossed my articles are well-received and this leads to a steady working relationship .
If you’d like to take a peek at any of the other articles I have, my latest links are below and are about: a cozy bed and breakfast, a nifty resale shop, three awesome parks, a barbecue restaurant that serves up southern-style comfort food, a tasty Brazilian grill, and the diverse St. Charles nightlife.
Okay, so maybe calling editing “fun” isn’t exactly truthful, but it has a much nicer ring to it than “Editing hell!” . As I prepare for the release of Tropical Heat I have decided there is no better time than now to make a few tweaks on my first two books, Finding Justus and Love in Greener Pastures. I have grown as a writer in the two years since my first two novels were released and I’ve wanted to go back and make changes for a while.
Pulling a classic out of the procrastinating writer’s handbook, I kept telling myself I’d make the changes once I had the money to do a new book cover design on both titles and then I’d have a big woo-hoo re-release. In reality, I probably won’t have the funds to redo the covers until later this year, so I’m using the next 16 days to edit like crazy….and speaking of crazy…
16 days until Tropical Heat releases!
My publisher, Total-E-Bound, pushed up the release date (by 3 days, but still!) of Tropical Heat from Memorial Day to the Friday before (5/24/2013). I’m super excited and I will of course post an excerpt and announcement here on the blog when release day hits.
Okay, that’s enough chatter from me, I hear a pile of work calling my name…
